THE IDEAL CHRISTIAN 3(concluding part)

we have been discussing on the ideal Christian for a while now which is about the way we act and do things not just by calling the name christian and answering to it but by our deeds. I want us to read through it once again from the first part(part 1 & part 2)and reflect on our lives and work on it and become better... No one is perfect but in striving for perfection we get a better US... read the last part, enjoy and also leave your comments thank you...

Jesus (GOD) loved all with his heart and thereby was willing to die for our sake
- ”NOW BEFORE THE FEAST OF THE PASSOVER,WHEN JESUS KNEW THAT HIS HOUR HAS COME THAT HE SHOULD DEPART OUT OF THIS WORLD UNTO THE FATHER,HAVING  LOVED HIS OWN WHICH WERE IN THE WORLD,HE LOVED THEM UNTO THE END”-JOHN 13:1.
-“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON,THAT WHOSOVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH,BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
Relating this to our present life, you might ask “ARE WE MEANT TO GIVE OUR LIFE AND DIE FOR SOMEONE WE LOVE OR CARE ABOUT?” my answer is no but yet, we can die for someone we love by giving our best to our loved ones by giving them our all in any situation and going to any length for such person and again, someone might ask, what is love or how do we show love, I will simply say Love is being there always for someone you care about and making the persons concern yours at all times.

Humility, we can say is the recognition of self in relation to God ,the acceptance of one’s defects and submission to divine grace(Wikipedia). Being humble you are willing to accept corrections and take orders not caring the age group or who it is coming from, we are willing to accept things and respect people’s wishes... But, the question here is how many of our Self-Acclaimed Christians can boldly say they do this unflinchingly?

When going through the scriptures, we can see how Faithful Jesus was in every area of his life from his young days to times with his disciples and to times when he taught different crowds and in different halls. He was always steadfast, standing on his words and keeping to promises.

Anytime you hear the word virtuous, what comes to mind? If I am to guess right I will say keeping off impure things. Well if you are thinking this way, you are not so far from the truth. Virtuousness is an act of staying off unclean acts and immoral things and at all times, doing what is right. We will all agree that this is no easy fit to achieve because the times we are in does not help matters much, but we will also agree that there is nothing as good as striving for perfection because even though we cannot be perfect, each day we become a better version than we were yesterday.

As Christians we should be patient in every aspect of our lives, from our prayer life to our daily activities and even down to when we handle people but opposite is the case; when we pray we can’t wait for our reply or answer from God we want quick responses and when we don’t get it we say there is no God. Even when in the midst of friends, as true Christians we should be patient enough to have listening ears to hear what they have to say and not just talk or jump into conclusions. We should be patient to think things through before arriving at any decision and we should be patient enough to hear when God is speaking to us. If we relate patience to Christ, we would see that throughout his days on earth, he always waited upon the Lord to hear him speak and that is a sign of patience.

Obedience... This is one wonderful trait of Christ most of us are guilty of not following… The present day youth are even famous of this, some even take it as far as been disobedient to their parents and guardian, some to their teachers and some generally to people older than they are, but this is not the example Jesus laid for us; Jesus always obeyed whatever he was told by God to the latter carrying out God’s wish to the very end (giving his life on the cross).

I will stop here but below are some other traits/characteristics of Jesus Christ of which if we follow them we could be classified as AN IDEAL CHRISTIAN … Never forget no one is perfect, we are all works in progress striving towards perfection, perfection may be far from near, but each day is a step closer than we were yesterday. The change starts with us and we are also the want to see in the world... it begins with you.
